I have been teaching Geography since 2012 and I have taught and led Geography Departments in a range of outstanding state, private and international schools. I have delivered excellent results for students of all abilities across all Secondary School age-groups.
Now as a full time Geography tutor, I offer support to students from Key Stage 3 up to A Level.
I specialise in delivering focussed exam support to students at GCSE and A Level through improving exam technique, revision of case studies, structuring essays, developing content knowledge and NEA guidance.
For each student I design a tailored programme to not only support learning and understanding but to empower them and spark my student’s interest in global issues.
I absolutely love my job working one-to-one with students and seeing them progress. I’m a passionate Geographer who enjoys sharing my love for the subject and supporting students through their Geography studies. I am keen to encourage their enjoyment of Geography and believe that the route to excellence is through really engaging with a subject.
I am a methodical, well-organised teacher with over a decade of experience teaching both Human and Physical Geography at both A-Level and GCSE, including A-Level, International A-Level, GCSE and iGCSE, covering the following exam boards; Edexcel, AQA, WJEC, OCR, Cambridge and I have been an examiner for Edexcel.
I understand the assessment criteria needed to achieve top grades including the qualities that a student needs for entry to Oxbridge, Russell Group and Ivy League Universities. I am available to help with university applications and as a learning mentor, including through EPQ guidance and mentoring.
I have been a Head of Geography and delivered outstanding results in a range of schools and now enjoy being able to use my skills and experience to offer tailored support to meet my student’s needs. Having worked with many international families I understand the need for consistency and complete discretion but also flexibility with private tuition.
